Police are seeking leads into a 30-year-old cold case murder.

At about 10 p.m. on May 1, 1987, officers responded to a home in the 500 block of Kanoelehua Avenue in Hilo to look for a missing woman. They learned 26-year-old Lynn Ebisuzaki was last seen leaving the house at 9:15 p.m. and failed to return.

Officers conducted a search of the property and adjoining properties and eventually found her lifeless body.

An autopsy determined Ebisuzaki died as a result of a stab wound. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Anyone with information about Ebisuzaki’s murder is asked to contact Detective Derek Morimoto at 961-2380 or Derek.Morimoto@hawaiicounty.gov. Those who prefer anonymity can call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
